lecture: [Strategy Keynote] Big game cyber-hunting
lessons learned
For several years our team have been revealing sophisticated cyber-attacks in corporate and government networks, exposing them to the world, explaining people how to identify threats and how to protect your digital infrastructure from nightmares. Those of you, who experienced APT attacks, know that they are like mites in your network. It’s hard to detect them, almost impossible to get rid of them and if you succeed, they will come back again just another day. So, why are they here? Who opens the gate of your system to let intruders in? How they bypass internal security measures and how they steal valuable data from the network? Using recent real world attacks targeting big corporations and governmental sector organizations as an examples we’d go through all these questions highlighting most interesting techniques and tricks that were used by bad guys. Only having deep understanding of what to expect you could prepare reasonable answer to such threats.
